Please read this notice in conjunction with our Privacy Notice.
The information you share with Walmart before and during your visit helps us provide an efficient check-in process for you and protect the security and safety of our premises.
What personal information do we collect and how do we use it?
We may collect your name, contact or business contact information and the name of the Walmart associate visited for the purpose of recording your visit to our site, allowing us to effectively manage your safety and the safety of our site during your visit – including the investigation of any accidents or incidents.
We may collect the registration number of your vehicle in order to manage our parking lots safely and securely. To ensure associates, security teams and the contact you are visiting can recognize you, we may take your picture.
We collect information from you in a variety of ways. It may be:
- Information Provided Directly by You - You share information with us when you arrive and engage in our visitor check-in process. The information you provide us is linked to you personally.
- Information We Collect from External Third-Party Sources - For large visitor groups, we allow a pre-registration process to expedite visitor check-in and pre-print of guest badges. Through pre-registration, we receive information about you from your employer in relation to your upcoming visit, such as your name and who you will be visiting.
Who do we share it with?
Other than as provided in the Privacy Notice, the information you provide to us before or at the time of visiting our premises may be shared with individual associates who need it to do their job, such as meeting you or supporting your visit.
How long will we keep your personal information?
The personal information related to visitors will be held for three (3) years unless stated otherwise. Electronic visitor records in stores will be held for thirty (30) days, then securely deleted. Electronic visitor records in our offices and other sites are held for six (6) years.
