On June 11, Walmart Canada officially grand opened its new fulfillment centre in Milton, Ont., marking another milestone in the company’s $6.5-billion commitment to modernize its store and supply chain network announced in 2025.
Located in one of Ontario’s fastest-growing communities, the Milton Walmart Fulfillment Centre employs approximately 140 associates and strengthens Walmart Canada’s national fulfillment network. The 750,000-square-foot facility will help expand access to Walmart Canada’s assortment and improve the delivery of large, bulky items such as patio sets, furniture and TVs to customers across Canada. As Walmart Canada continues to enhance its delivery capabilities, some local customers are already benefiting from same-day delivery through the facility.
The new facility, which has capacity for future expansion, is currently designed to store more than 43,000 unique products and approximately 65,000 pallets. The Milton Walmart Fulfillment Centre will support the processing and delivery of products from Walmart’s core assortment, extended aisle offerings, and Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS), enhancing fulfillment capabilities and helping provide customers with access to a broader range of products.
“The opening of our Milton Fulfillment Centre marks another important milestone in Walmart Canada’s investment to build a faster, more efficient supply chain for customers,” said Lillo Puma, Vice President, Supply Chain, Walmart Canada. “As part of our $6.5 billion commitment announced in 2025, we’re continuing to strengthen our supply chain network to help get products to Canadians faster and more efficiently than ever before.”

To celebrate the grand opening, Milton Mayor Gordon Krantz, city councillors and MPP Zee Hamid joined Walmart Canada representatives for special remarks and a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The Milton Fulfillment Centre is one of several investments Walmart Canada has made to strengthen its retail and supply chain network, supporting the company's continued growth and its ability to better serve customers and communities across the country.
