Walmart Canada stores and distribution centres across the country are celebrating and saying thank you to our Walmart Canada Fleet drivers — road warriors who drive through all road conditions, rain, sleet, snow, ice, storms, road closures, collisions and construction to keep our freight moving to deliver for our customers.
Walmart Canada’s fleet is made up of 800 drivers, 600 tractors and over 5,200 trailers. Our dedicated drivers deliver more than 180,000 53-foot trailers and log over 48 million kilometres annually — that’s over 62 round-trips to the moon!
With that much time spent on the road delivering products to more than 400 stores from coast to coast, our drivers prioritize safety and efficiency.

We’d like to introduce you to a few of our amazing fleet drivers.
Gurmeet Deol is a driver from Ontario who recently celebrated his 10-year service anniversary with Walmart Canada fleet. It’s family first for Gurmeet, who enjoys being able to take his son to school and spending time with his family. Seeing his loved ones after his shift is his favourite part of the day.
Our drivers work hard to deliver value to our customers while supporting local communities, like Martin Duvnjak from B.C., a Walmart driver since 2019. He’s passionate and proud of the work our drivers do to get much-needed freight to our stores for our customers. “I strongly believe I am helping and supporting society by delivering food and essential items,” said Duvnjak.
Sylvester Taylor, a driver from Moncton, at Walmart Canada’s newest East Coast transport hub joined the company earlier this year. In just a few months, he has settled in and enjoys the great team he works with every day. “I have daily conversations with store associates, we work together to resolve any issues and get the freight delivered as efficiently as possible,” Taylor said.
