Moms are incredible.
They do so much for their families as caregiver, teacher, cheerleader, superhero, CEO of the household…the list is endless.
Today we’re celebrating the millions of moms in Canada and the thousands of moms who work at Walmart in our stores, distribution centres, fleet and offices.
While this Mother’s Day may look a little different, we know many children, young and old, will find creative ways to make this Mother’s Day extra special.
Like Kyle, a Walmart associate, who has the pleasure of working with his mom, Joanne, at our Orangeville, Ontario Walmart store.
Kyle is a garden centre associate who is also pursuing studies to be a paramedic. Joanne works in the back office and has been at Walmart for more than 25 years, working in various roles and stores during her tenure.
When their schedules align, they often carpool into the store and enjoy lunches together. Kyle feels very lucky to work with his mom, who he calls his “greatest teacher” because that means he can spend more time with her.
