After cuddling his way into the hearts of Canadians in 2018, I’m excited to announce that Teddy, the Walmart teddy bear is back to spread some much-needed cheer in this year’s holiday ad campaign.
The campaign’s main ad sees our beloved teddy bear back roaming a Walmart store after hours, rallying friends from across the store to bring some extra love and care to Canadians this holiday season. With things looking a bit different this year, I know I’m not the only one who feels like Teddy is just the thing we need to spark joy and remain hopeful during the holidays.
Canadians will be able to see our holiday ads online and on TV and social media until December.
This year has been a particularly difficult one for many families and like many of you, I’m taking this as an opportunity to renew my commitment to helping those in my community. Together with our customers, Walmart will be giving back this holiday season. Walmart will donate $2 for every Kid Connection Teddy Bear sold in-store and online to Walmart Canada’s Spark a Miracle campaign in support of Children’s Miracle Network (up to $200,000). We’ll also be accepting donations in store at checkouts and online at Walmart.ca starting December 1 until December 24. Over the last 26 years, Walmart has raised funds and donated over $155 million to Children’s Miracle Network, a charity that supports children’s hospitals across the country. We’re proud to continue our support of such an incredible organization that helps children and families during a time when they need it most.
This holiday season isn’t without its unprecedented challenges, but by looking out for one another we can find new ways and reasons to celebrate. ‘Tis the season to spread joy, and Walmart is here to help.
