Walmart Canada is expanding its PetRx offering, providing customers with access to veterinarian-prescribed medications through Walmart Pharmacies as part of its pharmacy dispensing services.
For many Canadians, pets are family. Managing prescriptions and ongoing treatments for furry family members can be stressful. With Walmart’s expanded offering, customers have another convenient option for filling eligible pet prescriptions through the same pharmacy they may already use for their own health needs*.
Walmart Pharmacies can now dispense a broader range of medications, including those specifically developed for animal use, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. Previously, Walmart Pharmacies could dispense pet prescriptions only when the medication was approved for human use and available through the pharmacy.

Customers may request prescription dispensing and refills for their pets and enjoy free delivery on qualifying prescriptions, helping them stay on top of care without adding another stop to busy schedules. All pet prescriptions require a valid veterinarian authorization and are filled by licensed pharmacists.
