Southcentre Mall is owned and operated by Oxford Properties, which manages over 7 million sq. ft. of retail space in Canada, including some of North America’s leading shopping centres.
"We're thrilled to be welcoming a global retailer of Walmart's stature to Southcentre and look forward to continuing to build on the momentum at South Calgary's premier shopping destination," said Tori Nixon, VP Retail Leasing, at Oxford Properties. The Fort McMurray Walmart Supercentre will open on October 22, 2026 and two new Supercentres, in Edmonton and Tsuut’ina Nation, are expected to open in 2027.
Walmart Canada is proud to operate 59 stores in Alberta and employs over 15,000 associates in the province.
