Walmart Canada Expands Opportunities for Canadian Entrepreneurs at Second Annual Growth Summit

July 30, 2026

Hundreds of suppliers, entrepreneurs and Marketplace sellers from across Canada gathered at Walmart Canada’s second annual Growth Summit on June 23, 2026 to connect with Walmart leaders and learn about new growth opportunities in-store and online.

At the event, select businesses also had the opportunity to pitch their products directly to Walmart Canada merchants. More than 50 Canadian entrepreneurs and businesses received Golden Tickets at the 2026 event, unlocking new opportunities to grow with Walmart.

The first Golden Ticket of the day was awarded to Cross Wind Farm, a family-run goat farm in Keene, Ontario. Other businesses who received Golden Tickets include Living Tree Foods from British Columbia, Three Farmers Foods from Saskatchewan, Pasta Tavola from Alberta, Kotmo from Quebec and The Soap Company of Nova Scotia from Nova Scotia.

"Welcoming nearly 300 Canadian entrepreneurs today was a powerful reminder of the creativity, ambition and spirit of entrepreneurship that exists across this country," said Russ Mounce, Chief Merchandising Officer, Walmart Canada. "We have tremendous confidence in these Canadian businesses and their ability to bring innovative, high-quality products to our customers in-store and online. We know our customers are going to be excited by the Canadian-led products coming their way."

"Today’s customers want the flexibility to shop however, whenever and wherever they choose, and Marketplace is a key part of how Walmart Canada is delivering on that omnichannel experience," said Gauthier Dumoulin, Vice President, Marketplace, Walmart Canada. "By bringing Canadian sellers and businesses together at the Growth Summit, we’re opening the door to even more products, more choice and more convenience for customers online, while helping entrepreneurs grow with Walmart across our online and in-store channels."

For more than 32 years, Walmart Canada has worked with Canadian suppliers, purchasing billions of dollars' worth of products – including those made, manufactured and grown here in Canada.

As Walmart Canada continues to invest in its business and capabilities, initiatives like the Growth Summit are helping unlock the next generation of Canadian suppliers, sellers and success stories. Many of last year’s Golden Ticket recipients are already arriving on Walmart Canada’s shelves and online, helping to expand our assortment for Canadians.
