Recognizing the team’s strong performance, commitment to patient care, and growing role as a local health resource in the community, Walmart Canada’s Cornwall Walmart Pharmacy has been named the company’s 2025 Pharmacy of the Year.
“The Cornwall Walmart Pharmacy team truly represents what it means to be a trusted local pharmacy serving its community,” said Natalie Houlder, Vice President, Health and Wellness, Walmart Canada. “Their dedication to patient care, store and community connections, and focus on enhancing pharmacy services make them incredibly deserving of this recognition.”
Over the past year, the Cornwall Walmart Pharmacy team, led by Pharmacy Manager Walid Henry, demonstrated strong operational performance and expanded pharmacy services, supporting patients through accessible, compassionate, and professional care.
For Walid, the award reflects teamwork and a strong commitment patient care.
“It was an exciting moment to be named Pharmacy of the Year at our annual meeting,” he said. “I’m truly honoured to receive this award. I’m incredibly proud of the entire team and very grateful for the continual support from our Market Manager Sunil Philp and our Director Khaled Abdelrahman.”
Walid joined Walmart in 2015 as a staff pharmacist in Cornwall and became Pharmacy Manager last year. He says the most rewarding part of his role is helping patients manage their health in collaboration with their broader healthcare teams while building meaningful, long-term relationships in the community.
The recognition is especially meaningful during Pharmacy Appreciation Month, which celebrates the vital role pharmacy teams play in supporting the health and well-being of Canadians.
Across Canada, Walmart’s pharmacy teams support millions of customers as part of their healthcare journeys. Walmart’s 1,300 licensed pharmacists and affiliated Accès pharma pharmacists are available seven days a week, offering trusted advice and professional care within their respective scopes of practice. Services include immunizations, consultations for minor ailments, medication reviews and other pharmacy services as permitted by provincial regulations with pharmacist‑led pharmacy clinics for non-urgent convenient care available in select markets.
Congratulations again to Walid and the Cornwall Walmart Pharmacy team!
