The Windermere, Alberta community now has easier access to everyday healthcare services close to home, with the opening of Walmart Canada’s newest pharmacy clinic at the Windermere Walmart located at 6110 Currents Dr. NW.
Building on existing pharmacy services, the new in-store clinic expands the care Walmart’s licensed pharmacists can provide within their scope of practice, helping patients access non-urgent care quickly and conveniently.
The Windermere Walmart Pharmacy Clinic will operate seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Patients can schedule an appointment online or walk in to see a licensed pharmacist. Services provided include:
- Assessments and prescribing for minor conditions (where clinically appropriate) hronic condition management (support and medication management)
- Health testing (select point-of-care testing such as blood pressure, HbA1C, cholesterol)
- Medication therapy management
- Personalized medication reviews
- Prescription renewals
- Vaccinations and immunizations
- Wellness counselling, including smoking cessation, lifestyle support and preventative health guidance

Convenient, One-Stop Healthcare
Located alongside the Walmart pharmacy, the clinic offers patients a seamless, one-stop healthcare experience. Whether picking up groceries or filling a prescription, patients can now also receive everyday healthcare services during the same visit.

With this grand opening, Walmart Canada currently operates four pharmacy clinics, including two in Edmonton.
