Bring home the cheer: Walmart Canada’s designers create a collection to remember

Dec. 13, 2023

No matter what the vision is to deck the halls this holiday season – Walmart Canada has Canadians covered.

Walmart’s holiday collections

“Our three themes this season promise to deliver on quality, price, and style,” said Andrea Moody, Senior Manager of Product Development and Design, Walmart Canada. “As Canadians' #1 choice to save on holiday shopping, our customers don’t have to spend lots of money to get the holiday look and feel they want.”

Maybe it’s the eclectic, yet simple pinks and blues of the Sugar and Spice collection that’s turning heads, or the Nordic-influenced Oh Joy! with familiar holiday hues. Customers seem to be the most excited about the nature inspired All is Calm collection, with bells, copper metal houses, wood beaded garlands, and stone-look deer as the bestselling items (so far!).

“I’ve been designing for Walmart for the last 10 years, and look forward to the challenge every year to bring our vision for each theme to life,” said Helia Aguiar, Designer and Product Developer. “The development process takes approximately one year beginning with trend and colour, artwork development for each theme and working closely with our suppliers on the design of each product that you see on the shelves in store.”

Making consistency easy

Each collection is thoughtfully curated to offer customers a complete theme when they’re decorating their homes.

“We have an amazing assortment of products to dress the home for the holidays; from trimming your tree, decorating your bed and bath, to setting the perfect table or mantel decor, we offer solutions for our customers to bring their personal style to life,” said Andrea. “Our talented designers do an incredible job of creating collections that speak to our themes and offer a cohesive look for every space.”

Enhancements to our holiday programs

Trends come and go, but Walmart Canada’s every day low prices are here to stay. The retailer focuses on elevating quality and style while maintaining low prices:

  • Continuing to offer 3.5 - 4 foot outdoor inflatables at $19.98.
  • Improving the quality and specs of one of our best-selling artificial trees – increasing the thickness of the branches for an overall fuller look – and bringing the price down to $59.98 (from last year’s $79.98).
  • Launching new porch décor offerings under $40 so you can bring cheer on a budget to your porch, balcony, or any outdoor spaces, big and small.

Whether you’re going for a traditional, nature-inspired, or a more eclectic look, Walmart Canada has everything you need to bring the holidays home. Happy decorating!
