Hot Honey: our Secret Recipe flavour of the season
Walmart Canada’s Private Brands team is always looking for new, innovative flavours to bring to our customers. Digging into market and trend insights and looking for flavours that will translate to our assortment and customers’ needs, Secret Recipe aims to introduce a new flavour profile to customers at regular intervals.

New plant-based alternatives
Deliciously vegan, 8 new plant-based items have hit Walmart Canada shelves to provide more choice for Canadians at our every day low prices. Whether customers are plant-curious, cooking for a crowd with varied dietary needs or just looking to add something new to their celebration, it’s easy to give plant-based options from condiments to ready-to-grill items a try.
The selection includes Plant-Based Meatless Burgers (Fresh and frozen), Meatless Ground and Mild Italian-Style Meatless Sausages plus Caesar, Thousand Island and Ranch dressings and a mayo spread.
Ingredient Wise and ready-to-grill
Stumped for what to pop on the grill? Walmart Canada’s Your Fresh Market brand is offering a full range of ready-to-grill essentials that also fall within our Ingredient-Wise program. This means that they do not include five ingredients our customers have told us they do not want.
Grill-masters can try Your Fresh Market Flattened Whole Chicken, Chicken Skewers in Lemon Herb and Teriyaki and BBQ Pork Skewers – delicious crowd-pleasers that come pre-marinated and ready to cook.
Walmart Canada is now sourcing 4 million pounds of beef from certified sustainable Canadian farms and ranches.
In 2021 we announced our commitment to purchasing beef sourced from certified sustainable Canadian farms and ranches according to standards set by the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef. In 2022, we increased that amount by an additional 1 million pounds.
Over this calendar year, Walmart Canada is committing to purchase 4 million pounds of beef sourced from CRSB Certified sustainable farms and ranches. This amount more than doubles the original commitment made in 2021.
Customers will see this come to life in our Your Fresh Market Lean Ground Beef Burgers, which carry the CRSB logo and are a summer grilling favourite!
