“As soon as August rolls around, my teacher brain turns on again and I’m thinking already about back-to-school shopping,” says Grade 2 Teacher Maria DiBenedetto-Ruffolo. “I don’t like to wait until the last minute. I like to have everything ready. I usually shop now, around mid-August.”

For this “Back to School” season, Walmart Canada is helping hundreds of thousands of teachers and educators across the country like Mrs. DiBenedetto-Ruffolo ace back-to-school shopping with its first-ever Teacher Appreciation Week. From Aug. 11 – Aug. 17, teachers will receive 10% off their purchases, in-store only (some exceptions and restrictions apply, see in-store for details).

No tricky math here. Walmart Canada is proud to be the #1 choice to save Canadians money on back-to-school shopping.* According to Mrs. DiBenedetto-Ruffolo, Walmart is a favourite place to shop for many of her teacher colleagues because of Walmart’s everyday low prices and one-stop shopping convenience.

“A teacher colleague just got her own classroom and is super excited about outfitting her classroom for the first time with items from Walmart,” she says.

“As a teacher and as a mom, I know what kids go through the most and love the most… markers, crayons, pencil crayons – buy double and triple of it. Parents should stock up on pencil cases, too, because they get worn and torn as well as lots of pencils and erasers.”

Beyond stationery, Walmart is a destination for all things back-to-school including apparel, technology, and snacks and lunches.

Walmart Canada is helping teachers feel confident that they can get everything they need for their classrooms at our everyday low prices at back-to-school time and throughout the school year.
