In his current role, Mohammed leads the finance, strategic sourcing, audit, commercial finance, and business performance management functions at Walmart Canada.

Prior to joining Walmart Canada, Mohammed was Group CFO for Massmart for more than three years in South Africa, a public company that Walmart took private in November 2022.

Before joining Massmart, Mohammed was Group Finance Director at Illovo Sugar Africa for eight years and prior to that spent a decade in various executive finance positions at one of the major mining companies, Anglo American plc.

Mohammed is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Natal.
