Walmart Canada Statement Regarding British Columbia Wildfires

Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by the British Columbia wildfires, and we send our support to crews on the ground protecting our communities.

Walmart Canada is committed to relief efforts through our work with the Canadian Red Cross, and together we are actively supporting first responders and families displaced by the wildfires.

How we’re helping affected communities

  • Ensuring first responders have access to essential supplies including food and water.
  • Helping to equip evacuation centres with essential supplies.
  • Accepting in-store donations to Canadian Red Cross at our B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan locations.
  • Accepting B.C. Emergency Social Services vouchers in our B.C. stores.

We will continue to support the Canadian Red Cross as they work to assist those affected by the wildfires as part of our commitment to disaster preparedness and relief.

Show your support

You can directly support affected communities by making a donation to the Canadian Red Cross British Columbia Fires Appeal online, or in-store at Walmart locations across British Columbia and Alberta.

Effective immediately, we have implemented a policy exception in support of the B.C. wildfire relief efforts. Our stores in B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan may allow individuals and organizations to collect in-kind donations in their parking lots. Please see the store manager to complete a charity questionnaire.
