Gino DiGioacchino

Chief Merchandising Officer

Gino DiGioacchino is chief merchandising officer of Walmart Canada.

Prior to being named to this role, Gino was chief operations officer and executive vice president of eCommerce, where he led Walmart Canada’s store operations and online business strategy, oversaw Walmart’s growing network of 395 discount and supercentre operations, integrated customer experience across all Walmart’s channels and successfully launched Walmart’s Grocery Home Shopping.

Before coming to Walmart Canada, Gino began his career at The Home Depot, working in several roles in the United States and Canada, most recently as chief merchandising officer for Canada. While at The Home Depot he also earned his black belt in Six Sigma, a continuous improvement discipline based on data for eliminating defects in any process.

Gino is a member of the board of directors of SickKids Foundation and sits as Chair of Walmart Canada’s Diversity and Inclusion Council.

He holds a degree in administration and commercial studies from the University of Western Ontario and a degree in mathematics for commerce from York University.
