Health and Wellness Education Program

These monthly initiatives are compromised of a variety of disease/condition- specific pharmacist and patient support/education components. This program reinforces Walmart Pharmacy’s dedication to the professional development of our Pharmacists and the ongoing healthcare educational support of our valued patients.

Certification Programs

Walmart Pharmacy has ongoing opportunities for our Pharmacists to become “experts” in specific disease states. Diabetes, Smoking Cessation and Asthma are a few of the programs available. There are province-specific opportunities to expand your scope of practice. In Alberta , Pharmacists are encouraged to acquire certifications in prescribing and administering immunizations, thus expanding their service offering to our customers and keeping them challenged in their role.

Community Clinic Library

Walmart strongly believes in giving back to the community, and the way we operate our Pharmacy is no different. Our Pharmacists are proud to be leaders in their profession for community events – Making A Difference! As a Walmart Pharmacist you will be provided with opportunities to educate our customers outside of the dispensary and within their own community settings. We have developed a library of presentations, covering numerous topics available for your use.

Continuing Education Conferences

Any success we have can be attributed to one thing – our people. Annually, all Pharmacists are invited to participate in our Professional Development Continuing Education weekend, a collaborative event partnering with our eye-care professionals.
