- Walmart announces store pickup service at 11 Ottawa-area locations
100% satisfaction guarantee and unbeatable prices are extended to Online Pickup orders
Mississauga, ON – July 3, 2015 – Walmart Canada today announced the launch of its Online Grocery Pickup service for Ottawa-area customers, offering shoppers a broad selection of grocery items including fresh food at unbeatable prices and having them ready for pickup at one of 11 Ottawa-area stores. The service allows Ottawa customers the convenience of doing their grocery shopping from the comfort of their home or on the go, and choosing a pickup time and location that is convenient for them. Customers will enjoy Walmart’s fresh, top-quality grocery assortment at unbeatable prices with the added convenience of a dedicated grocery shopper.

The new pickup service offers grocery pickup, allowing customers to select from Walmart’s top-quality selection of everyday grocery items as well as produce and meats. Trained, dedicated grocery shoppers have been hired at all participating locations to ensure items are carefully hand-picked, and packaged with care. Starting today, grocery orders for pick up can be placed on Walmart.ca. The first pickup will be on July 7 at six locations. The service will be added to five additional stores on July 21. The pickup fee is $3 and customers will be able to order up to 21 days in advance.

Over the past year, Walmart Canada has grown its product offering to include a wider selection of fresh groceries. Walmart Supercentres now carry a variety of imported top grade fruits and vegetables as well as domestic Canada No.1 and Canada Fancy grade fruits and vegetables in addition to an expanded selection of organic produce. Fresh meats include Your Fresh Market 100% Canadian Angus Beef, Maple Leaf Chicken, Pork and Sausage, and Canadian Salmon. At launch, an assortment of these products as well as a broad range of everyday grocery items will be available to customers using the online grocery and store pickup service.
